All Medicare Advantage plans cover Medicare Part B prescription drugs.  To receive additional Medicare drug coverage, you must join a stand-alone Part D plan.  All Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (PDP) do not cover Part B drugs. 

If you join a Medicare Advantage Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) or a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan that offers Medicare prescription drug coverage, you must get your prescription drug coverage (Part D) through that plan.
